W artykule opisuję sposób i miejsce założenia rabaty. Pokazuję w jaki sposób wyznaczyć miejsce na rabatę, biorąc pod uwagę rodzaj gleby i naświetlenia słoncem.

Rabaty kwiatowe ozdobne lokalizować możemy w różnych miejscach działek i ogrodów - we frontowej części i z tyłu ogrodu, w części centralnej jak i w narożnikach. Ładnie wyglądają rabaty umiejscowione na tle jasnej ściany altany lub domu, a także gdy tłem są ciemnozielone krzewy liściaste lub iglaste. Na rabatach kwiatowych należy posadzić rośliny, które zachwycają nie tylko wspaniałymi kwiatami, ale także szeroką gamą zapachów.

Musimy zaplanować pachnącą i kolorową rabatę w sąsiedztwie miejsc wypoczynkowych np.: przy altanach, tarasach, ławeczkach a także wzdłuż ogrodowych alejek. Na rabatach wspaniały zapach pochodzi od fiołków wonnych, konwalii, róż azalii pontyjskich, wiciokrzewów. Kolorowe wstęgi kwiatów ożywiać mogą wejścia do posesji oraz wszelkie ogrodowe ścieżki.
