Tulipany wiosną przepięknie kwitną, zdobiąc wiosennie ogród. Mnóstwo radości sprawiają nam kwiaty, gdy w koło wiele roślin dopiero zaczyna myśleć o przygotowaniach do kwitnięcia. Wypełniają najróżniejszymi barwami nasze rabaty.
Kwitną, kwitną aż w końcu przekwitają i co wtedy?!
To bardzo proste :)
1. Obrywamy resztę kwiatu z torebką nasienną;
2. Podlewamy tulipany dopóki nie zaczną schnąć liście (jest to istotny proces, ponieważ woda pozwala się zregenerować tulipanowi po kwitnięciu);
3. Gdy liście będą suche, to wykopujemy cebulkę. Ostrożnie trzeba oczyścić cebulkę i zostawić do przeschnięcia przed posadzeniem jej jesienią.
4. Cebulki trzymamy w przewiewnym pomieszczeniu. Wskazane by było poprzekładać cebulki kawałkami gazet (z gazet trzeba zrobić kulki, tzn. pognieść je w taki sposób, aby przyjęły formę kulistą :D) i włożyć do przewiewnego i otwartego pojemnika. Moja znajoma trzyma cebulki w papierowych kopertach po cztery do pięciu sztuk. wkłada koperty do ażurowego kosza.
Wiele osób zostawia cebulki tulipanów w ziemi. No cóż, można tak też robić, jednak wiosną słabiej one nam zakwitną. Nie wspominając o amatorach podjadania cebulek. Jesienią, wykopane wcześniej, tulipany możemy znowu posadzić.
Taką małą ciekawostką jest to, że nasiona z przekwitniętych tulipanów, po posadzeniu nie dadzą identycznych kwiatów, jak tulipan "matka".
